Subject Descriptions & Key Topics

1. Mathematics (Paper I)

Mathematics is the most critical section, accounting for 50% of the total marks. It tests both conceptual depth and speed.

  • Algebra: Sets, Relations, Complex Numbers, Matrices, Determinants, and Probability.

  • Calculus: Limits, Continuity, Differentiability, Integration, and Differential Equations.

  • Geometry: Coordinate Geometry (2D & 3D) and Vectors.

  • Trigonometry: Functions and Equations.

2. Physics (Paper II)

The Physics section focuses on application-based numericals and fundamental laws.

  • Mechanics: Laws of Motion, Work, Power, Energy, and Gravitation.

  • Electromagnetism: Electrostatics, Current Electricity, and Magnetic Effects of Current.

  • Thermodynamics: Kinetic Theory of Gases and Thermal Properties.

  • Modern Physics: Atomic Models, Nuclear Physics, and Semiconductor Devices.

3. Chemistry (Paper II)

Chemistry is often considered the most scoring section due to its mix of theoretical and analytical questions.

  • Physical Chemistry: Chemical Kinetics, Thermodynamics, and Chemical Equilibrium.
